To unveil the newly renovated Martin Building (previously known as the North or Ponti Building), the Denver Art Museum (DAM) hosted a free general admission day on October 24, 2021 as part of its campus reopening. This renovation coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Martin Building’s construction and creates improved spaces for ticketing and guest services, offers two new dining options and houses a purpose-built art conservation and technical studies laboratory.
The expanded and reimagined campus contains an area for community and student exhibitions, school and group reception, adult and youth classes and artist interactions. Youth visitors to the Learning and Engagement Center are provided free admissions through the museum’s Free for Kids program, a program supported by The Reiman Foundation. Over 450,000 youth visits have been made possible since the program’s creation in 2015.
