Long-time Denver Art Museum supporters, Virginia and Scott Reiman were proud sponsors of this year’s DAM Uncorked wine tasting event held on April 11 and 12. The annual event raises more than $500,000 for the institution each year and features more than 300 wines, as well as beer and spirits from vintners, brewers and distillers around the world.
While one may think that this occasion is reserved for wine connoisseurs, the opposite is true. At DAM Uncorked, attendees can speak with staff from Applejack Wine & Spirits to learn more about the different types of wine available and gain an understanding of the different styles and regions. In addition, the Denver Art Museum staff encourages attendees to interact with winemakers and winery representatives to learn more about the varieties available at the event.
Next year will mark the event’s 15th anniversary. Individuals new to wine should consider purchasing a First Taste ticket, which allows entry into the event an hour early. During this hour, novices can explore different vintages to find one they most like and have intimate conversations with wine professionals.
